KUMA logo for a catamaran boat

This is what KUMA for the boat name on hull and transom and JERSEY for the home port on the transom was looking for in their logo design

We are looking for a logo for our catamaran named KUMA. Kuma is japanese for bear. We had a bear logo for out last boat name Out of the Woods and the design files for that are below. We really like that logo and want a variation of it that conveys:
connection to nature, courage, strength, exploration, perseverance, motherly protection and has a some Japanese influences.
We are a family of 5 and are headed from California to New Zealand via Europe on our catamaran.
