Sustainable Grocery Store Recognition Program Logo

This is what Northeast Sustainable Grocery Program - Environmental Leader was looking for in their logo design

Think eco-logo for grocery stores. We have created a program to evaluate the sustainable practices at grocery stores and our logo will be used to recognize real environmental leaders. Our recognition program focuses on every aspect of operating a grocery store and not just the products that the store sells. We look for practices that reduce energy and water use; advance reduction, reuse, and recycling of various materials and wastes; improve management of storm water; and promote the sale and use of greener products. These measures help mitigate greenhouse gases, conserve natural resources, create a healthier environment for employees and customers, and save money. A store's sustainability practices are an important factor for consumers when they consider where to shop. We want the logo for our program to help consumers identify the environmental leaders in the marketplace.
