Hello there!!!
I love the idea behind your assignment! I am going to do the illustrations but first I have a question: do you want something that is really hand drawn or do you prefer computer art? If you want them hand drawn then I would like to know what technique you have in mind.

Good question.  Hand-drawn I think.  Simpler versions of Suess or Curious George come to mind.  I want to be able to include character illustrations that are context-sensitive where expressions, stance, action, etc. change depending on the part of the story.  I''m not familiar with a particular "technique"so I''m not sure how to answer that part of the question.

Hello,
What a lovely project :-)  just a quick query please, what sort of ages were the boys in the stories and would you like to see illustrations for Tommy & Jimmy too?
Many thanks

Hello,

I noticed that you are still in deciding and wondered whether you are currently working with a designer ?  If not are you able to give me any feedback on my submission, so that I can either continue with the additional characters, go back to the drawing board.
Many thanks

Warmest wishes

No decision yet.  I'm gathering some family members this weekend to get reactions and input.  Will post an update shortly.  Thanks
