Hey Craig,

Were you planning to submit a design? If you are, when do you think i can have a look at it so we can work together? If you''re not, i haven''t received enough proposals so i might end up going with my traditional designer.

All the best,
Jad.

Hi Jad,

I have been researching the project the last couple of days on ideas etc.
I had planned to submit my version for the first email within the next 24 hours.

Is it possible to take it one email at a time? As my understanding is that the emails will be sent out one a week, is that right?

Yes it will.. Let me take a look at the first one and we''ll take it from there...

So will the introductory letter and the campaign Kick-off emails have the same landing page yes?

And the introductory letter wants to be in the same format for example as the "lanebryant'' sample you have used in the brief? ie, a block partioned up with nice simple graphics and imagery explaining the Body Copy section on the brief?

Do you have a good quality version of your logo you can upload as this will need to go on?

Rgds

Sorry for all the questions but time is tight now and I need to be clear on what exactly it is you want.

I was thinking maybe for the first letter I have found quite a nice spooky looking graphical image that could work well as a background, which would work well as a generic background, then the second email would have the inclusion of a number of models taken from your website, but they are at this stage only sillouhettes against the generic spooky background, or maybe from the models neck down is darkened out so what they are wearing is not visible, which could fit in with "what are you wearing this halloween".

The landing page could then be used to reveal the different examples of costumes, to tie in with "be whatever you want to be...."

The idea is there I think, but it is my job to make sure it is executed well, being simple clean but effective.

Let me know if im on the right track and if so we can tackle the rest once these are complete.

I could upload the background image if you like?

Hey Craig,

No worries, lets skip the intro email for now and start with the first email that is dated September 16th. The corresponding landing page would be Landing Page #1.

The email: It doesnt have to look like the lane bryant one, that was just a sample. The concept is i''d like to the design to be simple and not cluttered. Colors playful, like the colors in the landing pages. I think the best example of an email layout is the New York & Co sample in the brief. One note on the body copy, the header (subject) can be in image, so you can use funky fonts. The body copy should be in a standard font like arial because i''d like that to actually be text in the email not an image. I guess the best advice i can give is stick to vibrant and playful and simple and we should be fine.

The landing page: I think the example landing pages in the brief are perfect in terms of being vibrant, playful and simple. The design is great. All i need is variations of that using costumes from our site and also i''ll leave it up to you to accentuate the "Call To Action"

Does that help? I''m online for a while...

Hey Craig,

Sure let me take a look at the background - however although it is halloween, spooky isnt really what i''m going for. I''m shooting for fun, flirty and sexy with vibrant colors as described in the brand identity.

Thoughts?

Ahhhhh, okay!

Yes i was thinking a bit too much in depth.

I am alot clearer now.

I will send you an idea for the first landing page soon! And then you can decide whether you''d like to use your traditional designer.

Thanks

Thanks craig - waiting on it. I think we should be fine if we work closely together. You have some great examples to work off of.
