Logo Design Brief
I need a logo design for my new Life and Business coaching business based in San Francisco, but operating primarily on a virtual (web and phone) basis. The name of the business is Michelle White Coaching.
Right now my primary focus is on Career coaching and consulting, but with that, I generally end up doing Life coaching. I will later add Executive, Dating and Business coaching to the mix.
Michelle White Coaching is my parent brand, but over time, I plan to expand my offerings and will be creating sub brands for each area of the different practice areas: Career Coaching and Consulting, Executive Coaching and Consulting, Dating Coaching and Consulting, Business Coaching and Consulting.
I want to convey professionalism, trustworthy, confidence, but with a somewhat casual and friendly/upbeat approach.
I am open to different color ideas, but tend to be drawn to something in the dark, but vibrant blue, turquoise, teal, blue-green family or I tend to like bold, vibrant colors and also like more modern, cheerful colors.
I'm interested in seeing different variations of text, sizing, and use of color, including white text on colored background. And, I'm open to use of the full name or initials, such as MW Coaching, or MWC.
I will be using the logo on my website, on social media, as well as on business cards and digital invoices, and printed collateral pieces and signage.
Later on I will be needing design work for business card design, social media, and my website so I'm hoping to possibly find some designers through this process that may be able to help me with other future projects.
Updates
Project Deadline Extended Reason: Extended deadline to see more Personal, more Colorful options, possibly using script, and added some photos of additional color options. Would also like to have a little more time to send a poll to some trusted advisers, on my top choices. Thank you. Added Thursday, September 18, 2014
Project Deadline Extended
Reason: Trying to get more revisions from a small handful of designers, as we are almost there on final design. And, I still want to poll people before choosing winning design.

Nice to have
- New Info 9/18/14: ***
- While I really like the very professional designs submitted so far, I would like to see some options that are a bit different.
- I've made some changes to the Look and Feel section. I've moved the ranking
- slightly more Elegant than Bold,
- slightly more Personable than Professional,
- slightly more Colorful than Conservative,
- slightly more Economical than Upmarket.
- I've just added 5 photos to show colors that I like (see the color bars at top of each photo.) I prefer the stronger/darker colors (blue, teals, burgundy) for main colors, and only like the lime green or yellows or lighter blues, teals, rose, as small accent colors.
- I'd also like to see some options that use more feminine or personal fonts. Maybe show a modest script (not too fancy) option. If script is used, I'd prefer fonts such as Lobster, P22 Corinthia, Dancing Script, Marcelle, Bickley Script, Brush Script Std, Satisfy, or Playball. I don't want to see scripts such as Vivaldi, Edwardian Script, Pinyon Script or Sacramento.
- If the font is too thin/light/wispy, then I'd prefer to see a bolder version of it.
- Please let me know if you need any clarifications. Thanks!
Should not have
- I'm not a big fan of orange, brown, gold. If green is used, I prefer a more blue/green or green/blue to traditional green.
