Update Existing Logo of Law Firm - JPG's supplied

This is what APJ Law was looking for in their logo design

I am looking to update our firm logo.
I would like to include the year of establishment (Est. 1894).
We have a fair amount of brand recognition already. I simply wish to enhance that logo with a slightly modern edge. Possibly with the inclusion of some silver (with the blue) to represent our emerging adoption of technology.
