Business Logo for Technical / Building Company

This is what Bumblebee Works was looking for in their logo design

I am looking for a creative logo for a business offering technical support, property repair and mechanical services.

What I have in mind is a top down view of a bumblebee, the left hand side being the creature itself, the right hand side, looking like a stripped away, skeletal form. But the form of the skeleton using tools, for example, spanners, screwdrivers as limbs, and then cogs and springs for the body.
Like a steampunk - inspired machine, wearing a bumblebee overcoat. In a way.

I'd really like the design to be akin to something from a national history booklet (as opposed to a cartoon or clip-art) with some realism, but not too difficult to focus on when the image is reduced in size for invoices and business cards and the like.

I need the logo to have impact, both on screen and off. And to be instantly recognisable as a bumblebee, so must be black and yellow. Neutral background ideal also, so can be used for a range of printed forms. Happy for th… Read more
