Logo Design Project: Six-Forty Tools

This is what Six-Forty Tools was looking for in their logo design

We are looking for a logo design for a new IT start-up geared towards the oil and gas industry. We are developing web-based applications for the land professional which will assist in the acquisition of oil & gas leases (land/mineral rights) etc. Our initial application will act as a marketplace for energy companies to trade and/or auction property rights in Oklahoma.

I envision that the final design somewhat resemble the Bank of America logo, in the sense that the logo loosely depicts agricultural fields (i.e. land). I'd like for an oil derek and/or pump jack to be placed on this field similar to the aircraft depicted in the CATSA logo. I'd like to change the color scheme to something a little more modern and energy focused, perhaps playing off greens and yellows (earth tones).

Ultimately, I am 100% open to creative interpretation, assuming the final logo conveys a 'land' focused online marketplace.
