Catalogue Design Brief

The Portfolio gives you the opportunity to “package” your experience, expertise, and testimonials in a professional brochure-like format. This can be used to present in an interview to discuss you as a “product,” similar to what a salesperson would do when they are presenting their product’s features and benefits.
It’s an impressive way to present yourself as a professional who understands the importance of standing out and making an impactful statement about your skills, talents and success.
The components of this project need to include the following:
I. Resume (I have. No need to do anything with this)
II. Top 3 Features to Summarize You (Leadership/Sales/Driven)
a. These should be dividers in your portfolio that easily highlight your “product offerings”
b. Attributes you would use to describe and promote yourself
c. Make this up and i will ad on. Ex: Marketing, Sales, Training, Customer Service, Project Management, etc.
III. Each Feature must incorporate the following behind it – Do this for EACH Feature
a. Summarize experience – provide summary of what you did – make it quantifiable: numbers, charts, graphs
b. Provide examples: any proof of work, design, projects, etc.
c. Provide testimonials: emails of job well done, communications, etc.
d. Provide awards, certifications, recognitions (I Have)
IV. References ( I have)
a. Include at least two reference letters that will highlight your professional/working experience. (i have)
V. Professionally bind the portfolio (I will do)

I have increased the budget by $50.

Just a reminder, this is a portfolio to give to someone in a job interview. The finished size will be aprox 10 - 15 pages total. It will include a lot of pictures of me and my accomplishments in the military and school. It will Including my resume and scanned photos of awards that I have received (I will do). What I'm needing from a designer is aprox 10 pages that includes a few of the pictures of me with a nice background and layout. Writing about myself and my accomplishments and goals isn't difficult for me. What I need help with is the format/graphics/layout with places to write about myself and my accomplishments. In the Military (Marine Corps), in the program for excellence in selling (PES) at University of Houston and with lend a hand (my company) www.lendahandnow.com it should be fairly easy for a graphic designer. I have uploaded my resume to this website for your viewing.

I have also uploaded an example of a friends personal portfolio to the website. That is one of the better ones I have seen. THIS IS A GOOD REFERENCE. HIS IS VERY GOOD.

I DO NOT WANT IT TO "BUSY". THE FOCUS IS ON ME AND MY ACCOMPLISHMENTS.

Once I receive the files I will print and get bonded (like a book or magazine). I would like to be able to interchange pictures on the document as well if possible. So if later on I want to use a different picture or a higher quality picture I can. Please feel free to contact me with ANY questions!
