Vertical Poster: 12"x18" and possibly 24"x36"
In the style of old fruit-crate labels, those type of fonts, muted colors
Main theme: bountiful, abundance, growing, humorous, bizarre, variety
Purpose: to promote a music trade show that features everything about music, not a musical instrument show
Overall concept: Farm scene, similar to the fruit-crate labels from the 1930s–1940s: rolling hills or valley with orchards or fields going off into the horizon, full of ripe fruit, farm workers filling bushel baskets, loading trucks, harvesting — but instead of fruit, it's musical instruments, growing out of the ground, hanging from trees and bushes, ready to be hand picked, happy workers. We do not need to include every instrument, just the concept of a musical instrument farm or grove or ranch. We want variety in the instruments (electric guitars, drums for sure) and in the activities on a busy working farm.
Possible "scenes" might include these, but not necessarily all the below ideas (others are welcome):
field workers picking guitars
picking clarinets from a tree
stake bed truck piled full of amps, violins, cellos, horns
rows of violins/cellos or guitars growing out of the ground, farm worker(s) pulling one out
drums in a wheelbarrow
"just cut" music stands in a pile, worker wiping away sweat, maybe machete in hand
low trees or bushes with guitar picks growing like berries, being picked by a woman with a bandana, collected in a basket
trees with saxophones or trumpets hanging
drums growing like watermelons
guitar or other strings being harvested from a tree (like a willow)
Art should bleed four sides, but keep "action" away at least 1/4 inch all the way around for possible framing (so nothing important gets cut off or hidden from a frame. Can have a border or frame.
The-Music-Show logo is featured prominently, possibly integrated on the side of a truck door, burnished on the side of a crate or bushel basket, on the back of someone's shirt, a hanging sign, etc.
Text to be included: "2013" and "Los Angeles" and about 10-12 points on bottom left: ©2013 Beep Twice LLC

Thanks so much to all of you who gave thought to my project. I've decided to select Purple Hearts for the designer. If my project continues to go smoothly, I'll be back for more.

Still looking for someone to help me make a poster. Need someone who can give me an image like a vintage American fruit-crate label look and feel.
