Logo Design Brief

Looking for a logo for my company, in need of something professional looking that I can use to represent myself.
I am a one man operation that I started up six months ago. Basically I drive around northern Canada working for big corporations in oil and gas, pulp and paper, and commercial business fixing and installing complicated equipment.
My company name comes from my grandfathers regiment from WWII called the Manitoba Dragoons. He was an electrician in an armoured car division and went across europe and france installing and fixing electrical or whatever else needed work.
I want my logo to show professionalism and be able to fit in nicely with the big companies that I work with. I would really like to somehow work in the raging buffalo that was the logo for my grandfather in WWII. Maybe something like the buffalo to the left of the name in all caps with electrical & controls under it? Thats just my basic thoughts but please don't let that limit you. I understand you're a professional and i sincerely value your input and ideas. I look forward to putting your creation on the side of future service trucks as well as many sweaters, hats, and various promo. Your design will be my lifes work.
