We need a rejevenation of a logo design that has existed for nearly 20 years. It is important that any new logo device is still recognizable and connected to the existing one.
The business is a restaurant and the building has a signifcant history in one of Australias most recognised wine regions of McLaren Vale.
Brand Communication
History rejuvenated, approachable, bright, sophisticated without pretension, feminine and with a focus on respect to the ingredient
We deliver delight to the senses: a taste of indulgence, the sight of imagination, a hint of love, & the magic of service – all on a plate, in a glass & from our hands.
The Salopian Inn menu reflects food not of a by-gone era but of a future, of a place where the patron wants the experience of quality without the excesses of ego or cult of personality.
It is to be affordable, approachable and beyond all repeatable.
The value proposition is to dilute any perception of it being an ‘occasion eatery’, rather than communication as a ‘cheap food’ outlet.
Service is to be delivered against our Mission statement, focused on pride, honour and discretion, each person walking through the doors should feel welcome as if being welcomed into our home.
The initial offering of the business will capture on premise food and beverage, cellar door, on premise functions and off premise functions/catering as well as seasonal vintage food offerings.
In future it will also seek guest appearances by known & emerging chefs, cooking classes, writing, books, and take home pre-prepared foods
Target market: The hungry, the thirsty and the lost, locals or visitors; those seeking a culinary experience unfamiliar to the district or those living and wanting a new local that offers more than most.
The Salopian Inn comes with a history, lost over years of poor management and brand changes. As a destination at the heart of McLaren Vale, ‘Slops’ as it is still popularly known is a brand that has both kudos and heritage.
Marketing strategy: The brand identity is to be repeatedly communicated in multiple ways with frequency and consistency throughout the life of the business.

Business location:
The Salopian Inn is located just outside the main shopping strip of McLaren Vale and is the first restaurant on the main road to Willunga or en-route to several popular winery cellar doors, including of Wirra Wirra, widely regarded as being one of the most popular winery destinations in the district.
The views extend to the south capturing hints of the Gulf of St. Vincent, overlooking vineyards as far as can eye can see. These vineyards, combined with recent changes to regional zoning laws mean that it is unlikely in the foreseeable future that these views will be changed.
