Hi there, I am new to DesignCrowd so appreciate your feedback! I just changed the job to guaranteed and am waiting to hear back from my developer to see if PSD files are OK (which I think should be fine). Kelli
Hello all, more details are included in the attached document "Templates to Design for TheAstrologer.com" If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
Hello all, here is info from my developer: PSD only is fine, but depending on the details of the design, I may need the designer to give me some PNGs. e.g. shadow effect for images. The current best practice is to use as much CSS or JS as possible to output the design on the web, instead of using bits and pieces of images as have been mainstream in the past. This helps with making things responsive / mobile-friendly, and performant (fast-loading). So, for intricate/artsy parts of the design, you may want to request that the designer crafts it in a way that is easily extractable/exportable. e.g. as separate layers or objects.
Hello!
What about the logo, is it OK to use a logo for the current website?
Hi there,
yes, I would like the logo to be included on the current web site but limit the purple!
Thanks
Kelli
Hello (new) designers, before submitting your design please read this carefully: only submit a design based from this page called “sun sign page”: http://theastrologer.kinsta.com/taurus This page’s design should tie in with our front page: http://theastrologer.kinsta.com/ (the front page is replicated from airbnb.com). On this sun sign page we would like to have the video that’s on the front page also be the header for this page and under it the content as you see on the page. What is important is creating boarders or some type of distinction around each content section of the page. I thought using blocks of color would work but it does not as it’s too heavy. Perhaps keeping the page white and using the color for having boarders, boxes, subtle color backgrounds and some shading might be a better approach. The color scheme I would like you to use is red and matching trim with even some pink or orange or yellow. I am open to suggestions as long as it is within the red family and soft, clean and feminine and nothing too heavy. The font we are using is Montserrat for headings and Noto Sans for body text. The content sections on this page are: - Today’s Horoscope with keywords, mood word etc - Find out more about Todays Planets - Weekly, Monthly, Yearly horoscopes - Compatibility - Articles - Ads I want the design to be subtle but not boring as it can sometimes be with white pages. My goal is to not have the site look like every other white site out there which is very flat and boring. I want it to be engaging and memorable.
