Logo Design Brief
We need a logo design for a new online retailer based in the UK. The company is called urbanetraveller and sells boutique / high end, stylish outdoor travel gear and accessories aimed at style-conscious men and women who value the way a product looks and feels, rather than just the technical performance of the product when they travel or undertake outdoor activities. Whilst the company values technical performace its wants its customers to look good and feel good in their travel gear. The final design should be simple as it will need to be instantly recognisable and mass produced on items such as clothing. The design and colour choices should convey a strong sense of style and coolness that will appeal to males and females in the age group 20s to 40s. We would like to be able to use the logo in its own right or alongside the company name.

Nice to have
- It would be nice to see how some pastels colours would work. For example, a pastel blue (urbane) combined with a pastel grey / charcoal (traveller) or vice versa.
In terms of the font style for the word "urbane" it would be nice to see an almost handwritten style font. It would be nice to convey some flair, an appreciation of tradition, vintage and classic designs. We don't want to come across boring and too conservative. See the Rapha cycling gear logo for some inspiration. In terms of the font for the word "traveller" it would be nice to see this interms of a modern/contemporary typeface font. Our gear is the perfect combination of style/class/tradition and performance, so out logo needs to convey this. In terms of logo position, please try in front, above or at end of company name.
Should not have
- No mountain or compass point inspired designs in the abstract logo.
No bright colours.
