We need a logo design for an initiative called The Dementia Momentum (overview document attached). Our research Centre, the Centre for Healthy Brain Ageing (CHeBA) at UNSW Australia is predominantly focused on changing the future of Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. The Dementia Momentum is a campaign to bring the researchers and the community together by bringing in significant donations, particularly targeted at the corporate community. Richard Grellman AM is the key person fronting this initiative which will be launched in the media on 16 March 2015. His wife is 64 and has early onset Alzheimer's disease. He says "The Dementia Momentum seeks to engage in dialogue with the business community to raise awareness and reduce prejudice around this disease but, most importantly, to solicit corporate and private support for research to be undertaken. This research covers three big areas needing careful thought, namely: what might be done to prevent this disease, the search for earlier diagnosis and new and sustainable treatment options." The CHeBA logo is blue and teal and we would like to keep a consistent theme. The final design should clearly showcase the words perhaps with the word Momentum larger than the other words. We like the idea of incorporating Newtons Cradle (image example attached) but not essential. We would also like to see some ideas incorporating a wave/ie the momentum of water. We want this logo to particularly appeal to the high-end corporate community and to communicate momentum toward positive social change.
