Logo Design Brief

I need a logo designed for a new video games online store.

My orginal logo featured blue, similar to the Design Crowd blue. The only colours I don't want is red or purple. It doesn't have to be blue however.

Possibly including a variation on a Space Invader Creature, or a Retro Gameing Controller would be cool. Or some other recognisable retro gaming icon / illustration. Keeping copyright in mind. If it takes away from the logo, this isn't necessary.

I need the logo to work on a white background, and possibly on black as an alternate. I am open to a capitalised version, a lower case, and a standard verison (ie GIMME GAMES / gimme games / Gimme Games). Maybe even a version without a space?

The logo will be placed in the top left hand corner of the website. The logo could aim to look fun (but not kiddy), but still be clean. If trying to make the logo 'fun' just makes it look crappy, just scrap the fun idea and go with awesome. I like the zavvi.com logo, but that may be too simple? I'm sure you'll surprise me.
