Logo Design Brief
We are a cosmetics retailer that caters mainly to professional makeup artists....We need a logo that incorporates our company name "CRC". We want it to be simple! We would like to incorporate the Mask found here on the following website..(not the whole face just the mask) http://www.themakeupartist.com/pages/ponyexpress.php the eye mask part, with our without the eyes.
The company site you are designing the logo for is www.CameraReadyCosmetics.com This mask shot is a key component to our identity. We hate the current font on the website logo so please do not use this font. The current website it not the direction I am going. We will be redesigning it in the future.
We need artwork that is scalable, It will be used in large posters as well as small print and in all of our advertising. We will also be using gold foil stamping on white shopping bags and so we need a logo that can go solid for gold foil stamping.
We need to be able to print in color and in black and white. We like metallic gold and black as colors, probably black for the mask and gold for the name CRC (CRC under the mask, beside the mask or in the mask itself). The initials on the logo will be CRC the company name is CRC. We need to be able to separate the CRC from the mask as in some instances the name CRC will be used without the mask.
We are also open to new ideas and even new colors. If you have an idea that doesn't fit with what we are asking for we are open minded and willing to consider it.
We are NOT a costume company, the logo can't look like it belongs on a costume shop but more like a retail brand for beauty artists.
Updates
We are looking for something elegant as most of our customers are in the fashion and print world of makeup... we don't cater much to the Halloween or FX crowd and so elegant is better then costume looking. Makeup artists and makeup junkies, mostly between the ages of 19 and 40. My customers are VERY artistic and colorful people. They are the MAC (cosmetics not computer) customer. They are not normally Costume or Halloween customers. Think artistic but sophisticated
