Logo Design Brief

I need a logo, suitable for web-based branding (Optional second logo version suitable for greyscale printing on invoices) that evokes a sense of my story-telling focus, and implies the fact that I work as a voiceover artist (therefore via recording). I work primarily in audiobook narration, but also provide narration for training and informational videos.

books, microphones, headphones, sound waveforms ... these are the ideas that have occurred to me thus far, but by no means do they all have to be included. Could use variations on my initials... I'm open to concepts.

In color choices, my general schemes thus far include greys, blues, and purples... so vivid reds and yellows probably won't play terribly well.
