Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for a new online company based in Melbourne Australia. We salvage cool stuff from commercial and industrial demolition sites (including industrial furniture, reclaimed timber, hand painted signs, bricks, lights, objects of interest. We up cycle some things ourselves, or we sell as is. Our customers are architects, interior designers, furniture makers, vintage and antique stores and members of the public. Our website has been designed to look like a mid to high end industrial furniture store, it's a minimalist design with white, grey and black in the pallet.
I would love an industrial chic type logo incorporating 2 or max 3 colours (or just monochrome), maybe with a distressed look, an Art Deco/stencil/type writer font. I've been playing around with images of hook and pulley, Edison light globes, industrial chairs, nuts and bolts, sledge hammers, cogs, old ladders, wrecking balls etc.

Requirements

Must have

• The words "The Demolition Warehouse" must feature really strongly in the logo, as this is core to what our business does. I'd like to capture the elegance of industrial chic, I want something clever but simple. It needs to look good now, but also be timeless (I'd hate it to look dated in 20 years from now).

Nice to have

• A cool graphic of a retro pulley and hook, hand tools, cogs, chains, vintage furniture, old ladder, retro stool, sledge hammer, nuts and bolts. A little bit of colour or just monochrome. It would be good if the logo can be adjusted slightly for different uses..... A long line of text for the side of a truck, stacked text of times when there is limited space as "The Demolition Warehouse' is a pretty long line of text for certain uses.

Should not have

• I'm really wary of featuring an excavator or warehouse roof over text in the logo.... This tends to look really kitsch in my opinion
