1 other thing, in the seafront image, the edges of the roof have a type of 'end cap'. Will the finished roof have this, or do the tiles run to the edge of the roof...thanx

The real life roof comes with end caps and ridge caps at top.

I will upload a few more images of these but you will have to rebuild as they would not be useful for the concept creation.

Do you happen to have a photo of the apartment block before the 'edit' as there are too many drop shadows in the image.

I have been testing lighting with the panels, the tree on the left has a promenent shadow, so in the real world, from the angle the picture was taken, there would be alot of specularity (even reflection of the sun off of the panels) is this something you would like? or should i remove the shadow and cast the light offset to give a more even feel?
