Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for our fitness center, Phalanx Fitness. The gym will be focused on creating a community for veterans and military members when they get bacck home. A phalanx is a military formation where a unit would stand shoulder to shoulder, and each member's shield would protect both himself, and the men on either side of him. Shields would link like dragon skin, and become an impenetrable, singular, unit - and from this position of strenght, the unit would fight. We'd like the logo to focus on the ideals behind a phalanx of strength and team unity, while also incorporating an aspect of fitness and maintaining a bold, cool, military feel. We want the gym to inspire a similar comeradery, and be a point of connection and positivity through fitness and community.
