Logo Design Brief

We have a logo that we love but need to update the color for use on a new website we are having built. We want to logo to effectively remain the same but be in a color that would compliment the new site while still remaining easily recognizable to long standing clients.

I have attached some examples of the website and our current logo. We feel a steel or gray approach would probably work with the colors in the website. We are however coming you to you for creative advice and genius!!

You can see in the current web design the green and flattened logo does not work at all.
