Logo Design Brief

Hello there! I am Brazilian and my name is Vinicius. First of all, sorry for any mistakes, but, as you know, English is not my official language.

Me and my business partner are developing a clothing brand. First we will be producing high standards cool t-shirts - both male and female - made of high quality materials, which will add value to the final product.
Little by little, we will increase and expand our variety of products, which will contain shorts, polo shirts, etc.

The brand we are working on is named "SANTTOVI", and our goal is to reach the "Class A/B audience" (people with money!) and we aim public aged between 16-35 years. The name by itself doesn´t have any meaning in our native language, it is just a mix of letters with the name of the founders. Our basic concept is to rescue the Brazilian essence, the patriotism, the pride and honor. We are intending to break a little the external influence on our ways of dressing, and to develop a typical Brazilian brand, which values our culture, our idols, our nature, etc. We will escape the known and current concepts of admiring foreign culture and we will not use image of landscapes, music, phrases and foreign celebrities; we are intending to value only internal and Brazilian factors. We won´t use anything related to foreign countries: no English content, no Californian landscapes; it will be only about Brazil itself: our language (Portuguese), our culture and our landscapes.

Considering the proportions, we are aiming to be a mix between Hollister - which has its own Californian essence - and Armani Jeans, witch its own glamour, both with cool clothing.

To know better our essence and ideas, we ask to you to enter in the websites of two Brazilian clothing brands that we aim to be like. We think that our brand aims to reach a similar audience, clothes and prices that this two brands follows.

Some topics to be used on the printmaking:

- Landscapes: besides images from Rio de Janeiro, images from São Paulo, Salvador, etc., contemplating all kinds of Brazilian beauties;
- Sports: soccer, surf, capoeira...Brazilian way of life in general.
- Nature: our fauna and flora (animals and different kind of environment);
- Culture: musical references, Portuguese phrases, and texts associated to our local legends, first native Indians, etc.

The main idea is that any product of our brand will be connected to the Brazilian essence - either by the language, culture or way of life.

Nevertheless, the basic challenge is to associate this Brazilian essence to a brand which also represents something cool that a high standard public will be willing to buy.

We are looking for a cool logo, always in mind that we are a clothing brand. We separated some logos that we think that comes closer for we are looking for. Something cool and clean.
