Logo Design Brief
I have just started an English to Dutch translation business and now I need a logo design. My business will focus on the Dutch corporate market, primarily the transportation, construction and academic industries, but could also attract international customers. Please note that translating is different from interpreting: I only do the written word, so please avoid images of spoken language. I will have both an English and a Dutch company name, so they will basically be two different logos, one with "Nomad Vertalingen" (primary) and one with "Nomad Translations" (secondary).
The reason it's called Nomad is that it reflects my expat lifestyle of frequent international relocations. I would like to see a reference to Nomad reflected in the design.
The enclosed files are ideas for the type of feel I am going for, in particular files 1, 4 and 6, please have a look. The logo should reflect that this is a small business that values personal customer contact, it should not create the impression of a large company. Having said that, it should not be too obvious that it is a one-man band.
Thank you, and enjoy!

Requirements
Must have
- - An image, not just words
- - It must work in two languages: Nomad Vertalingen and Nomad Translations
- - use only one or two colors in total
Nice to have
- - image with reference to the business name, e.g. camel, touareg scarf, etc. Keep it simple and symbolic
- - a bit whimsical would be nice (such as in files 4 and 6 attached, the Ugly Duckling Presse and Locho logos)
- - colors: blue, orange, grey
- - values I would like to see reflected: quality, reliability, personal relationship with customers
Should not have
- - cliches with globes or flags
- - cliches with pens, books, etc
- - image of spoken language/people talking. I am not an interpreter but a translator.
- - extremely polished logo. The logo should not create the impression of a large, anonymous company.
- - colors red and brown
- - script fonts
