Logo Design Brief

We are a small partnership (two people) who are looking to raise money to buy a small company. We plan on running the company and then improving its performance. Our focus is likely to be on companies that involve water (fresh water, water purification, water processing, etc), but it may not be exclusively water.

Our name is "Haven Street Partners".

We're looking for a very simple, plain logo that has our name in it. We're not sure what we actually want for the graphic, but something quite simple, attractive, and reassuring. This is our first entrepreneurial venture, and we're both a bit young, so we're looking for a logo that communicates gravitas, reliability, growth, and accomplishment. (sorry if that's an adjective overload).

The colors we're looking for are pretty plain. Dark blue and gray that will sit on a white background.

For an example of a logo I really like, see my friend Colin's website: http://broadreachimages.com/. His logo is simple, understated, and elegant. We'd look for something with a little more gravitas, but this is a great example of what we really like.
