Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for an Auto Parts store. The logo must be strong and impactful and applicable to web, print and signage - horizontal and stacked formats. You can not use the color blue in any hue. We are partial to red and yellow, but you can deviate from this if your design dictates it (just not blue).

I would like to see an incorporation of an icon, not too literal in the auto parts realm. I am open to a strictly typographical approach if it is strong.

The target audience is primarily male, it is both retail and business to business.
