Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a new company based in Cottonwood, AZ. We are opening a brewery/brewpub. We want the logo to include a cottonwood tree.

Our mission statement:

Our food and our beer are made for those who care about the food they eat, the beer they drink and where it all came from. In our lives, we emulate the classical American steward of the land who endeavors to Life, Liberty and Happiness through independence, cooperation, resourcefulness, personal responsibility, hard work and creativity. Our beer and food are made with great care from the finest and most fresh, local ingredients possible. We believe our food and beer are sensuous connections to the local land and the people in it. We consider it an honor to participate in the timeless and sacred crafts of preparing delicious food and brewing exceptional beer. We believe it is our civic duty to do them well.


At the Cottonwood Brewing Company, we don't just sell food and beer, we sell an experience. At their leisure our guests will interact with the nuts and bolts of the brewing operation. They can watch our kitchen team methodically work it's way through a busy dinner service, they can take in the brewing operation as our head brewer crafts a new batch of local beer, they can compete with one another in pool, darts or shuffle board, or they can do nothing, kick-back and enjoy an amazing environment with friends and family.

The Brewpub will focus on producing high quality beer and food using the freshest local ingredients possible. The Brewpub will initially produce 4 beers: an amber, an unfiltered wheat, an I.P.A., and a pilsner. The Company will design new offerings regularly, producing seasonal and specialty beers from local and regional ingredients whenever possible. Similarly, the Brewpub will serve a simple yet highly refined American style cuisine creating a fusion of the cultural elements that make the Verde Valley and the Southwest unique.

The Brewpub will be located in an historic 1928 church located at 791 Main Street, in Cottonwood, AZ. The building is currently owned by the City of Cottonwood, and Sedona Brewing Company is negotiating purchase set to close in early spring of 2014.

All, We'd like to make sure to include a river and rolling mountains, in addition to a cottonwood tree, somewhere in our logo. Please google "Mingus Mountain" in cottonwood, arizona to get an idea of how the mountains should look. Thank you.
