Wordpress Design Brief
Look for an out of the box creative design!
I am working on putting together a new blog / website with a few colleagues in the cleantech / energy venture capital space. I would like to push the box on design and get really creative for how to display the following (very simple):
1) Updated News on venture capital and cleantech (rss feed)
2) Would also like to have a profile page to feature "company of the month"
2.1) Included in this page I would like to be able to have a gallery of photos and have it be an interactive profile of company that includes:
2.1.1) Funding received to date, funders, location, founders (really good example of this is would be on cleantech.com. (there may even be a way to take the date right from their website)
EXTRA: would be amazing to be able to place all the selected company on a map
3) Blog entries that can include photos and movies and active commenting
4) Resources section for interesting websites, books, surveys etc. (goodreads)
5) Would like to be able to link my social media (twitter, facebook)

Note: I have a logo designed for the website that I can send across. I also have a domain name registered at http://e3venturing.com/
I have also attached the draft logo to show the colors I am hoping to use across the site.

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: Really want to make sure that we get the design right and dont want to have to rush things. If however I find a design concept I like I am happy to pull the trigger right away and work outside the contest.

- What I was hoping to do (if possible) was to create a stock index that tracks some of the leading cleantech stocks on the market. Done know if there is anything out there that is open source but if there is I would love a section on the blog called "E3 Index"
Should not have
- The design should not use old-style, serif fonts like Times New Roman.
