Bio's on backside of invitation:
John Mackay is a founding principal of the Strand real estate organization based in Vancouver, Canada with offices in Atlanta, GA and Sacramento, CA. Since 1976, Strand has acquired, developed and financed a diversified portfolio of real estate assets in the residential and commercial sectors throughout North America. John Mackay is involved in a number of local and international charitable and community organizations most notably in his work with Alpha Canada, Alpha International,the Streettohome Foundation and the Clinton Foundation. He graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Bachelor of Laws degree. He resides in Vancouver, Canada and is married to his wife Rebecca (29 years); they have three children.
Shaila Visser has been living and working in Vancouver for the last 15 years. Most of those years Shaila helped women investigate their own spiritual lives through her work with Women in Leadership and then Alpha in the Workplace. Currently Shaila is the National Director of Alpha Canada. She is married to Ryan Visser, a Vancouver Police Officer on the K9 Unit. Shaila and Ryan have two four legged family members, Blade and Quigley.
