Hi A!

Sorry to hear you are having problems. Thank you for getting in touch

We are only accepting InDesign Files as per the brief, our app development platform does not support Photoshop files.

You can create designs without using Editor - just use our quick start guide: https://support.oomphhq.com/entries/21756003-quick-start-guide

You can send me a crash report but I don't think we will have the issue fixed in time - apologies for this.

Hope this helps!

Sarina

Do we need every element and page designed for the competition?

Yes we do :)

Is there a way of creating menu's? I want to be able to have users touch the bottom of the screen for a menu to slide up and when they want it to dissapear they just touch elsewhere on the screen. Is this possible as this is the main way of navigating throughout my app.

Hi there,

So the best way to add a menu to your app would be by making use of action hotspots and objects. I have attached links with more information and tutorial videos about using these below.

https://support.oomphhq.com/entries/21756353-Action-Hotspots

https://support.oomphhq.com/entries/21770808-Objects

Basically you will need an action hotspot that 'calls' an object on to the screen by changing its position on the screen which might look something like this: Action,Menu1, Position=200:400 (referencing the x and y coordinates).

Then to hide the menu you will then need to have another action hotspots telling the objects to go back to its original 'hidden' position which will look something like this: Action,Menu1, Position=original.

Hope this helps!

Thanks

Thanks Sarina,

I am still having issues with it though as I cannot test anything due to the software crashing and I can't see how to make the menu work properly from the documentation alone. It would be a shame not be able to submit to the contest due to this reason, since the software is crashing and there doesn't seem to be enough documentation perhaps we can have more time. If however I am the only one with this issue then never mind :) Would love to get this worked out though as I have been enjoying designing for this contest.

Thanks,
Amy
