Logo design needed for a start up company called 'OddLoft', based in Hertfordshire, UK. We aim to capture the imagination by creating inventive and unusual apps, books, homeware and prints, targeting a wide range of ages.
Logo designs can (but don't necessarily have to) incorporate a symbol along with the name of our company: 'OddLoft'. We would like to see some of the designs incorporate our tagline 'curious creations'.
We would like to keep a fairly open brief, to allow inventive design. Therefore we are open to change on the use of capitals or small lettering for the company name or tagline and the use of colour.
The final design will be used on a fabric label (logo without tagline), as well as branding for all of our products.
Designs should communicate the intriguing, whimsical nature of our products.

                                                        Hi designers.
With four days left I thought I would give things a boost by saying that we are impressed with the standard of the work we are receiving. We are now trying to steer these designs around to what might be a closer representation of our slightly odd little company. This might designing for us a little more challenging than designing for a florists or a printers, but hopefully challenging is also interesting.
We will be developing all sorts of goods from product design to apps with an unusual, often playful twist. We would like to see this reflected in the design of the logo. We are aiming our products at the consumer seeking high end quality products, who also has a taste for the unusual and the small amusing details that will underlie our designs. Our products are not aimed at children.
Contemporary, beautiful, quirky, playful (non-childish), stylish, interesting, unusual, possibly surreal, oh and readable :-)
We are approaching the critique of designs with an open mind and fairness and appreciate that designers will not want to waste their time, so will only carry forward designs with the real potential to represent us. So those who do get carried forward in the process, you might have to consider yourself to be a bit peculiar!
Thank you,
Oddloft
