Logo Design Brief
Two insignia/logos that evoke vintage 1950's record label logos. Names are Sceptre and Eris.
First visit Google Images and search "vintage record labels"

Then visit Pinterest and search "vintage record labels"

Ignore the more ornate labels from the 20's and 30's. We're concentrating on a 50's retro googi look.
The design doesn't necessarily have to be placed into a circle but it needs to strongly suggest something you would see on a record label.
The design will primarily executed in process color (although few if any record labels from that era were multi-color). It also doesn't necessarily need to be finished as a vector object, if you're thinking about adding scuffing or distressing as part of your design (although we would need it delivered in a form that could be sized (think Photoshop Smart Objects...)
Background: Sceptre and Eris are the brand names of two new lines of recording studio monitor speakers that we are introducing. Founded in 1995, PreSonus Audio Electronics, Inc., is a leading designer and manufacturer of audio-recording software, hardware, and related accessories. PreSonus software, microphone preamps, signal processors, digital audio interfaces, mixers, control surfaces and other products are used worldwide for recording, sound reinforcement, broadcast, sound design, and Internet audio.
And we're slickly sick and weird.
Updates
Dear Entrants to the PreSonus Sceptre and Eris insignia/logo project:
This is the first time I have used DesignCrowd...but it won't be the last.
Overall, I was stunned at the quality of submissions.
We turned to DesignCrowd because we were terribly swamped - so my biggest regret is that I could not immediately respond, comment on and provide individual feedback to each of you. I vow to do that in the future when things settle down after our Big Trade Show.
In the meantime, you as a group have created a huge problem: TOO MANY GREAT SUBMISSIONS!
I'm a typically opinionated Creative Director but this is going to be tough. SO I'm doing the typical corporate thing and referring the top designs to our Sceptre / Eris Product Manager, my Associate Creative Director and the CEO.
I will have a decision by the end of the week. But one thing's for sure, no matter which designs get picked, I'm going to be leaving a lot of good ones behind.
Thanks again for all the hard work. You folks rock!

Premature closing of contest. We have just been notified of shortened production deadlines in China and regretfully must close the contest a few days early. Thanks to all of you who participated.
