Logo Design Brief
Whistler Energy II, LLC is a startup oil company formed in 2013. We purchased a large platform from ExxonMobil July 11, 2013 and have been completely renovating the facility in preparation to move a platform rig out to the platform in November/December. I'm wanting a logo that can go on hats, coveralls, shirts etc that will be used as part of our safety program, that rallies the team and generates enthusiasm around our project. We will have up to 85 men living on the platform at one time. This will be the biggest drilling program in shallow water (we're in 760 ft of water, 100 nautical miles offshore south of New Orleans, LA, as compared to the big, deepwater projects in 2000+ft of water) in the Gulf of Mexico in 2015. Another feature of the program is the well names. The wells were named by an ExxonMobil geophysicist that was a Greek philosophy minor, so the names of the wells are after Greek Muses; from biggest to smallest are: Erato, Terpsichore, Polymnia, Eupheme, Calliope, and Euterpe. Possibly a logo for each muse?

Award and funds distribution is a default calc by DesignCrowd vendor. I am asking to get it clarified. Thks. R

Great ideas so far. A couple notes: 1) be sure to keep the location name all in one line "Green Canyon 18" and, 2) some are submitting a pump-jack (horse head looking equipment), although a good idea, this equipment is not used offshore, so a drilling derrick, and/or platform in the water is more appropriate.

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: After a pole of related parties survey of designs it was decided to extend the deadline to obtain more options to review.
