Logo Design Brief

We have an existing Residential Finance business (CDG Finance) with its own logo, and need to develop something similar for our Commercial arm of the business (Business name is) COMMERCIAL & DEVELOPMENT FINANCE or CDF
Colour doesnt necessarily need to be the same, open to suggestion.

The two websites will be linked via an actual link, so we would like the two logos to connect somehow. I have had someone working on it for us, however, not inspired by anything he has offered (ideas attached).

I have attached existing CDG Finance Logo.
