Logo Design Brief
Halo is a new Man Overboard system from BoatWarden.com
We want a new logo that encompasses the extra security Halo brings to the people on board boats, yachts and other watercraft - including captains
Halo combines the latest in wearable technology, digital communications, smartphone app, GPS mapping and a central support service.
Speed is of the essence with a Man Overboard situation
Injury from the fall and freezing water means the person in the water is typically in shock and is in immediate life threatening danger, so fast and effective response is essential
Halo does this by:
Alerting the captain, crew and other passengers
Identifying the exact spot for optimal retrieval
Informing other nearby boats
Central monitoring to help support and co-ordinate rescue activity and escalate to the maritime rescue services as required (eg the captain is the Man Overboard)
There are 5 rings of protection:
1 a wearable halo - a wristband, lanyard or life-jacket loop worn on each person on board
2 a wireless proximity halo - encircling the boat
3 a local network halo - nearby boaters, sailors and seafarers who have our app and can effect a flotilla of support
4 a GPS halo - GPS tracking is triggered by an overboard event and sent to the Central Monitoring Station - who are guarding our boats 24/7
5 a global halo- Central Monitoring which connects with world-wide maritime rescue services
Logos should either encompass the overall Halo effect for the people aboard a boat, the individual security provided, or the 5 layers of protection
1 - Boat
2 - Person
3- System
Red is the most visible colour in the sea and will be used for the wearable aspect of Halo (wristband, lanyard, life-jacket-loop)
However, the logo colour is open
Updates
Hi
Thank you for entering our design competition...
The designs with the 'halo effect' - a ring around the boat - are the ones that are catching my eye
But I wonder.. if there is there a way to visualise that ring is electronic.. an invisible ring?
Thanks again for participating and sharing your creativity
