Graphic Design Brief

DC Shoes is inviting artists, designers and creators around the world to custom design a pair of the new DC Trase shoe.

About DC Shoes:
Founded in 1994, DC quickly grew to be a leader in performance skateboarding shoes and renowned action sports and lifestyle brand. Today DC Shoes stands as a global brand whose product line has expanded to include men’s, women’s and kids’ skateboarding and lifestyle shoes, apparel, snowboards, snowboard boots, outerwear and accessories.

DC Shoes & Talenthouse understand that artists will have their own interpretation of the brief so be sure to include a description with your submission so we can follow your creative process.

Prizes:
The DesignCrowd project has 1 place, and the Talenthouse package is even bigger!
- The overall DesignCrowd winner will receive $1250
- Five DesignCrowd runners up will be selected to receive a $50 participation payment each

Guidelines:
- Artists must use the template provided to design your DC Trase
- Artists should retain their original artwork files (in 300dpi) but designs must be submitted in JPEG or PNG, max size 5MB. Submissions not using the template will be removed.
- All entries must be original artwork (meaning not using third party pre-existing copyright materials) - photographs will not be accepted.
- Artists must join Talenthouse using an active email address in order to ensure they can be contacted should they be selected.

Requirements

Must have

• - Artists must use the template provided to design your DC Trase. Submissions not using the template will be removed.
  - Designers are required to submit their design to Talenthouse as well as DesignCrowd (to be eligible for the Talenthouse prize packages).

Nice to have

• - A full Talenthouse profile to be reviewed by the judging panel (a very good way to get more of your work noticed by the panel of expert judges!)

Should not have

• - Profanities, illicit substances, anything offensive
