We need a logo which will encompass the feel and ethos of our exciting new project. I envisage the logo will eventually be used on signs website letterhead and business cards Teniers vehicles etc etc
We chose the name Broger's End for the farm we have just purchased in upper kangaroo valley Australia because it is at the confluence of brogers creek and the upper kangaroo river. I like the word confluence as it means both the junction of two rivers and also a place where people gather. The farm is 100 acres of varied land. Part is fertile river flats where the rivers meet and part is sloping pastures and part is very steep escarpment. There will be walking tracks and mountain bike tracks. There is plentiful wildlife including lots of kangaroos kookaburras etc. And amazing views of the valley all around.
There will eventually be a few types of accommodation on the property. There is an old dairy which we will convert to a small romantic and peaceful getaway. The is a large corrugated iron shed which will be converted to a more basic family type of accommodation and we are planning to build a beautiful big house out of shipping containers. In general the accommodation will be eco friendly and mainly made of reclaimed or recycled materials quirky but also classy and aiming at an upmarket clientele. In future we may even make an outdoor amphitheater in the upper paddock for music or film festivals! Lots of possibilities!
One of the main attractions of the place is its location in the upper kangaroo valley which is considered to be one of the nicest areas of a beautiful and upmarket holiday destination. Google it and have a look!
Perhaps the logo could include a stylized confluence of rivers lined with tall trees (she oaks which are about 150 yes old and very majestic) possibly a kangaroo Modern and classy somehow projecting our environmentally friendly ethos.
Logo text could include "Upper kangaroo Valley" as a subtitle or just simply "Broger's End"
JUST HAD AN IDEA! I WOULD LOVE THE LOGO TO BE A LINO CUT STYLE, could be enclosed in a shape
Updates
Having seen such a range of beautiful designs, I have realized that the more formal and elegant ones actually are more appealing. I have realized that this will entice people from the city to go there, and to differentiate our place from the less attractive accommodation on the market. I think having the two merging rivers on the logo is a good idea.
Thanks for your submissions! Keep them coming!

Please note that we have changed the second line to read "Kangaroo Valley" not "Upper Kangaroo Valley". Thanks

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: When I started this contest I had no idea what to expect, and wasn't really sure what I wanted. Having viewed the excellent submissions it has become more clear to me what is required. A formal style is more in keep with the feel of the place, elegant but relaxed. The merging of the two rivers is a good base for the design. Several designs have been adjusted and are close to what I think will work. Let's just refine things and maybe have some new input from this comment. Thanks
