Logo Design Brief

Dear designer
I am looking for a logo for my internet presence. Primarily I need a logo that I can overlay on images to water mark or identify my work. In short I am looking for an icon or brand image.

I am interested in producing a number of images that will be pinned on “Pinterest”. I wish them to be tastefully watermarked so that people will be happy to share and not feel like it is cheap advertising.

I produce lots of videos on YouTube and wish to put a “png” logo on the custom thumbnails that people see when selecting from YouTube’s video recommendation. Again, if it looks like advertising I think it will detract.

I aspire to have people learn to spot the logo and know they are going to get a well made video that is worth watching, amongst a sea of other offerings.

I am building an off-grid house out of shipping containers. I produce my own power and we are aiming to “live in sustainable luxury”. We have a small carbon footprint and aspire to live lightly on the land.

I have two ebooks that document the process of transforming two shipping containersinto a home. They show, heating, lighting, power, insulation, water, logistics and costs. These books are sold on the back of the you tube videos. Currently the channel has 750,000 views and 5,000 subscribers. They are sold world wide. The channel is a “how to” channel. People can see that modifying a container can be done without too much skill.

I am looking for a logo with wider appeal than just one aspect of the container house build.

Ideas I had considered but am not emotionally attached to:
The containers are constantly changing and therefore an icon would be more flexible that a photo
I considered a container with a roof but never sketched anything that impressed me..
The solar panels at 35 degrees on the flat roof are striking and unique to my project
The corrugations of the container wall are unique to my home
I have a stained glass window in the container, although I do not wish to convey religious tendancies.
I turned a “safe” into a log burning stove
I collect my own water
I think a circle is softer and more appealing than a hard edged square outline. It could possibly incorporate different aspects of the project, Example a circle with 4 smaller representations inside.


Ideas that I am not inspired by
An unimaginative green leaf, or tree icon
My web address is very long, and whilst I would love to use it, to be readable it would have to be huge.
