Logo Design Brief
I am currently redesigning an old website onto a WordPress platform.
www.skychickadventures.com. (check it out)
Skychick Adventures has been sharing adventure information with pilots, divers, etc...for over 15 years. So the site is very dated...
The goal of the new website is to continue sharing information, AND highlight me, Ramona (Skychick) as a professional motivational speaker whereby I will be using my adventures as a metaphor for overcoming obstacles, setting and accomplishing goals, etc.
So the old "cute" logo on the existing website no longer works. It should have a professional feel, but still have the adventure flair since I am an adventure pilot who lives life on the edge. I am looking for a NEW logotype design which includes a symbol. The message the symbol should depict is: "Reach for the Skies" "The sky is the limit", ...something that has the feeling of aviation and positive accomplishment or growth. I don't want to use an airplane because people will think it is a travel site and I provide trips...which I don't.
If more than one color is used, the logotype and symbol still need to read well in one color and be designed to be easily reproduced on clothing or printed materials.
For reference, I have attached the old logo. If it can be updated and more stylized, I would be open to that as well.

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: I have been reviewing the designs and appreciate all of your submissions. I have decided to extend the deadline date with new criteria.
Of what has been received, many of the designs used standard clip art for the symbols. I would like to see designs that include a graphic or illustration that represents a "female" aviator without using an airplane in the design. The profile of a females face, blowing hair, combined with a wing or wings may work for this logo. I am open to your ideas...

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: I am traveling and need time to go through the designs. I will be choosing the final design from what has been submitted on 11/28 as that is my FINAL deadline. A clean and simple design that is reproducible is what I am looking for.
