Web Design Brief

I have a client who is a physical therapist who I am redeveloping a website for. The new site will be a combination of two sites, once that handles the practice site of the business and another for the education side of the business in which they will accept online registration for therapeutic training courses for physical therapy students.

The existing sites (just for background purposes) are here:

Private Practice: http://kinectionsinc.com/
Education: http://ursafoundation.com/

So, the new site will be a modern looking site that combines both the private practice content and the education content (register for classes) information.

The home page should have a clear distinction between private practice and education. I am thinking that a button or icon to view/register for classes somewhere on the Home page would lead users to that section of the website that deals specifically with education.

So, that said, I am think the navigation should include the following:

Home
About Us
Our Services
Education
Contact Us

The client has provided the following websites as examples sites in which they like the colors. Here is the direct quote from the client:

"We were looking for sites that looked comfortable in colors and presentation, please view so you have a better idea what we want the feel and colors to be like

Note that all examples they provided have a similar type of layout with a large slideshow image front and center, horizontal navigation and large footer areas with contact information and links to pages and social networks.

I am also going to be working on a logo for them, I have yet to decide on what text that will include or what icons (if any) will be a part of that. I am thinking that the doctor's name "Lino Cedros" but I am still struggling with that so a placeholder logo for now would be fine.
