Logo Design Brief

We are an entertainment company based in Charlotte, North Carolina (http://CarolinaNightlife.com). We are working to put together a comedy festival in Charlotte. We have secured the domain name CharlotteComedyFestival.com and CharlotteComedyFest.com.

We are looking for a logo for this event. The event will be a three day festival of comedy shows of all kinds. The logo needs to be fun, not too busy, easy to scale down to avatar size so that we can create Social Media avatars (possibly just a simpler avatar 'version' of the main logo), etc.

I am not sure if the logo should have or needs to have the .com in the logo itself... I'll leave that up to your design discretion. Possibly submit versions with both.

Here is a website for a comedy festival like what we will be producing (http://charlestoncomedyfestival.com). Their logo sucks. I mean it is flat out horrible in my opinion.

So, looking for something awesome.
