We are a startup electronics company (Carce Technologies) based in Maryland, USA and are in need of a logo for the company. Focusing primarily on items for the maker community, we are developing products ranging from test gear to small scale electronics assembly robots that can also 3d print. Most of our products will be open for others to modify and build upon (open source hardware like.)
The name Carce was chosen over 10 years ago as at the time it had no search engine results and did not have any preconceived meaning allowing us to not be constricted to one field of technology before we were ready to emerge publicly.
The logo should be simple in design, and help represent more of an overall brand vs a specific product feature... although electronics will be a key component in all products. It will be placed on every product circuit board so it will have to translate to single color silkscreen printing well (It is possible to expose silver/gold as a second color if needed) . Vintage looking designs have always been a favorite of ours, as have simple line, rubber/block stamp, and engineering drawings that would look at home on eco-friendly brown paper/cardboard boxs.
Future design projects will include the website, packaging, business cards, letterhead, and specific product branding (would be nice to have a consistent design theme for all future products). The winning designer would be given preference for this work, however even if you don't also do these things please submit if you believe you have a logo design we would like.

Requirements
Must have
- The logo will be used for both print/web as well as silkscreened on circuit boards so the logo should translate to a single color and/or gold/silver well.
Nice to have
- Some form of glyph or symbol that could be used without the company name in cases where space is very limited would be appreciated, but not required.
The attached file is a representation of a design aesthetic I would appreciate seeing realized as a choice, however this is not the only aesthetic I am looking at and other more simpler designs are more than welcome and encouraged.
Should not have
- The design should not utilize color gradients, unless they translate to a single color well.
