Logo Design Brief

I would like a new logo for my Managed IT Services and Managed Hosting business. Our brand promise is Securing Tomorrow and it would be good if this could be incorporated in some way. The 8 was selected at the end of the word Acceler8 to represent the Octagon - some interpretations of the octagon are 'What these are specifically is open to debate: the earliest definition was based on the eight words inscribed inside the octagonal base of the little dome in Lobby 7 at M.I.T. These might be something like Science, Engineering, Literature, Fine Arts, Philosophy, History, Mathematics, etc., although there are other candidates. The point is that the set should span the major categories of intellectual activity - a good symbol for creative technical people'. Our current logo is not on our website but have attached it for your reference. If you go to www.acceler8.net.au you will see our product offerings.
