Logo Design Brief
I already have a clear concept of what I want, but I lack the skills to produce a finished product. I have attached a few attempts, all of which I'm not entirely happy with. I hope someone can blow this out of the water for me.
I am starting a modern tea house. We will be providing specialty teas from around the world, including Chinese Green Tea, Indian Black Tea, Argentinian Mate, South African Rooibos, and more. Our store's interior design has a minimalist, sleek, contemporary environment. concrete floor, wood furniture and stainless steel appliances.
For our logo, I want to evoke a sense of mystery and wisdom, coupled with the primal roots of nature, demonstrated through a modernized version of hieroglyphics. I like the idea of keeping something caveman-like about it, as if it were ancient writing on walls. But it still needs to feel modern enough that it could represent a national brand and not scare away mainstream consumers. The first symbol represents water: the ingredient of all life. The second symbol is a bit more abstract, representing the the process of time and the cyclical nature of life. The third is the tea leaf which represents the marriage of water, (sun), and time.
I had a logo designer produce the more corporate sample of the two. However, I think that logo lost its artistic value and the colors don't pop enough for me. I also don't like the font very much.
The "first logo" is what I made, and I like it, but it lacks the professional touch of a professional artist. There is something about the free hand writing that feels more appealing.
Note:
- Please write Papp'sTea with an apostrophe. I didn't do that in the attached pictures but that needs to be done.
- Please view the two pictures attached to this post. We want our logo to follow that concept.
- I also attached our company introduction for more information about our company.
