Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for a new TV series called "Sounds & Stages" This is a television program that puts undiscovered original artists (from musicians to comedians to poets and more) on unique local stages across America. To be aired on the MyTV network, an affiliate of the CW network.

This logo will be used in every episode across the nation for at least the first season, possibly forever. It will also be featured on a very popular website related to the program.

We're looking for simple, clean, and striking typeface; while at the same time "artistic" - reflecting the nature of the program. We're envisioning bold, somewhat "blocky" font as opposed to a swirly/script font. Sans serif or small serif fonts are preferred, but open to your input. The ampersand is a must. The logo will be on a dark surface. We prefer little to no color; whites/grays on a dark background are best. If color is used, it's best as an accent.

Finally, the wordmarks that we are most in favor of thus far have some small representation of sound in the in the logo; the smallest indication that this is a sound-oriented program. We want the wordmark to feel unique to our program even in the smallest/subtlest way.
