Participation Payments can be received by being invited to a project by a customer or via winning a bonus payment for submission of quality designs once a contest closes.

For this project, we have used the participation payments to invite 2 designers and did not keep it for a bonus payment.

This was the first time we have ran such project on designcrowd, but we believe that next time we organize such contest, we will use the participation payments as a bonus for designers, like you, that have actively participated to the contest!
