Logo Design Brief

I operate a small one man Auto Electrical repair business. I previously traded under a trade name and most of my business was with companies rather than individuals so this was ok.
However with the economic downturn in my country I am targeting retail customers more now. I have 30 years experience in the business and offer a wide range of repair services.

Previously, most of the business was mobile plant and machinery electrical repair. I still offer this service but have upgraded my computer equipment to provide diagnostic checks and repairs for cars and vans. I service problems with ABS, Airbag, Check engine warning lights etc. I find that people relate more to an individual rather than a company, so I want to trade using my own name.
I need a recognizable graphic that I can use on the side of a van or web page or promotional flyers or business card.
