Logo Design Brief

Legal Eagle will be an online legal services business with high volume web traffic. We seek a clean, modern look using a modern straight-lined font. It is not necessary that an eagle be included in the design but it is OK if it is. We are more interested however in a design that incorporates the name and the concept that we are offering online legal services. The logo needs to be simple and uncluttered. It will appear on webpages that are "heavy" with content, and the logo should provide some relief from that. We favor blue colour(s) but are open to suggestions. Thanks very much for working on this project.

Updates

Thanks so much for the submissions to date. There are already some great choices and ingenius designs. We have confirmed the payment. Some general and specific feedback follows.

We ideally want to include in the logo something that indicates that the legal services are being offered online (only), not a bricks and mortar law firm.

That might include the use of a graphic of a notebook, tablet, mouse or cursor (or an eagle feather that is the cord to a mouse) if we can do so without that graphic making the logo look tacky or too busy.

So we are more interested in a graphic that suggests we are online rather than an eagle's head graphic. We are also mindful that the eagle's head most commonly used is the American eagle and that has an American association for many people living in the Australia, rather than an Australian eagle such as the wedge-tail eagle.

Alternatively to a computer graphic to indicate we are online, we could incorporate a tag line such as: "your legal needs met online", but we worry that additional text will detract from how clean the logo looks.

Regardless of what we have said above, there are some designs that have incorporated an eagle head graphic that we think are terrific. We particularly like the way in which Innerworld Designs discretely included an eagle's head in the text of Eagle (3737215). We also liked the use of feathers in Manu's design (3736903) although we thought they might create in some minds an image of an airline and would need to be made more discrete.

In terms of colours, we liked the use of blue and also liked the combined use of dark grey with blue. In terms of font, we prefer that used by Movanserr (3737249) and Innerworld Designs (3737215) and Jeptoo (3736906) and Manu (3736903).

Another thought we had that would suggest that we are at least predominately online would simply be the inclusion of our domain name in smaller print underneath the main part of the logo: legaleagle.com.au
