We need a logo / mobile app icon for a company based in San Francisco called "Empath." We're developing an anonymous social messaging app that is similar to Whisper or Secret but that's specifically focused on allowing users to anonymously share how they are feeling in a social feed and then connect 1-on-1 with other users (anonymously or as themselves). The idea is that so many people today experience joy, misery, anger, and a range of other emotions but have no low-risk way of identifying others in their social network and beyond who are going through the same thing and could be a source of comfort and counsel.
The icon should either feature a "heart" as our primary symbol or a lowercase letter "e" for Empath similar to the "f" and "t" used by Facebook and Twitter. We're using an emotional color spectrum (see attached file) as the basis for much of the core functionality, so the icon should feature a broad spectrum of colors (ideally all eight in the core of the attached Emotional Wheel file) OR use a neutral color (.e.g, silver like the new Apple icon). As a final input, we really like the Zendesk logo because it contains a heart in the middle and could be modified to incorporate eight slivers around the outside of the heart that match the eight colors in the Emotional Wheel, but that is just one idea and we're open to plenty of others.
