Logo Design Brief

I need a minimalist logo for a start up real estate design/development company in Staten Island NY. "boro 5" is derived from being started in the 5th borough of NYC. Think super simple…as broken down as possible…maybe abstract. This is what i have in my head.
The company will be growing out of this underdeveloped/ignored area. The company will buy unvalued, underutilized, run down properties and create unique, fun, simple, affordable and inspirational spaces for rent/sale. Words and phrases that communicate the vibe of the company: socially responsible, artistic, simple, creative, inspirational, minimalistic, earth friendly, recycle/repurpose, community minded, fun, innovative…
i really think i would like the logo black and white (but I am open to anything)…something understated and simple…I am looking to build a brand, I want people to see a space and know my brand, know that was a boro 5 project.

I would to like to thank you for sharing your design ideas with me.  I have been keeping my input very vague because i wanted to see what original ideas might evolve.  I am very excited about some of the designs.

If you got rejected without any comments from me it simply is because I didn't like the direction the design was starting…I would love to see other ideas you may have.   I have been receiving many designs and I have commenting on the few that I think have a strong potential or I feel can evolve in a direction that I may like.  
As the designs have come in, most of them have had a very modern robotic feel to them…at least the fonts that were used seemed to give that feel to me.  
The area of NYC that I am starting this business has been in decline since the late 1800's early 1900's…I think id like to see some designs that pay respect to the classic time of the late1800's…elegant and classic…but at the same time convey a feeling of rebirth and renewal. 
  Im visualizing something almost monochromatic… mostly grey's, silvers, and blacks… but i think it would be cool to have a small splash of vibrant color representing the rebirth of this area.

To all designers, As the designs have been coming in I am liking the designs very much. Most of the designs have had a very modern feel. I am looking for something that might fit entirely in a circle or oval and look like a logo you might have seen around the late 1800's. I would like it to have some modern elements as well. Something that looks very classic. Please send me your ideas and I will work with the ones that I like the most. I have extended the deadline till mid this week. I will look forward to seeing some new designs. Thank you
